Stabilizing cocobolo would be like wearing a belt and suspenders.
Its loaded with its own heavy oil/resin anyway.
The stabilizing thing was invented for lighter woods, more fragile that stain easy. Something industry came up with to be able to use unsuitable woods.
Its kind of nasty too.
To stabilize, you put the wood into a vacuum chamber and draw down a heavy vacuum, all the while the wood is soaking in polyester resin with hardener added, and going off. It sucks the poly into the wood.
If plastic was what you wanted in a handle, lord knows plastic can be had easier than this!
Real wood requires care.
