I have the 1/4" version. Still looking for the 3/8" and the 1/2" ratchets.
Nothing special, other than they did not make or sell many.
Just rare.
Actually the innards are simple, crude, rough, making the action function nothing to write home about.

I really don't care for the ratchet at all.  It's certainly not a worker for me.

Why would they make a s/steel ratchet? (higher end material) with crude inards)  Are they for sure s/s and not magnetic?

It's not designed to be a tool, it's designed to be a collectable, it is supposed to live on your wall like the gold plated Snap-On wrench set - P

As a tool it's awfull, and the sockets are even worse, how long do you think the plastic rings will stay in one piece under heavy use?

If it was a serious tool, it would have a smooth stanley type handle with a high polish, and snap on 80 tooth gears. The guts would take advantage of stainless' superior hardness to have precision machined ratchet teeth, and the sockets would be ultra thinwall to show off how strong the SS is....

(And it would work under water without rusting ;P)
