Hatchet ID
« on: February 08, 2012, 09:52:42 AM »
I need a little help identifying a little hatchet I have. Kind of odd. I am half leaning toward a kitchen tools? Fruit squeezer? Thumb in the dimple on top and press down juicer on bottom? Thought maybe a roofers shingle hatchet with point to poke holes and hatchet to trim but no hammer head. any thoughts?

Wow, that thing is cool. I'd like to know its intended purpose, as well.

Keep it away from Brian (64longstep), he would make it into a weapon for sure...lol.

I think it may be an ice hatchet for chipping, shaping, and crushing blocks of ice.

Very cool! Thanks for the help!!! I also am saving the link to that site. Yet another type of tool to keep my eyes open for. I have seen some of that stuff at yard/estate sales only to pick it up an set it back down.

That could make a good Zombie killing axe on a 3' handle... Will you be ready for the Zombie Apocalypse? LOL
If all else fails use a bigger hammer…

That thing is evil looking! This is the first time I can ever say ime happy to live states away.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
