I opened my secret santa gift today
« on: December 22, 2011, 07:25:40 AM »
I came down the stairs this morning before dawn in my fuzzy bunny slippers and Dr. Dentons all aglow with anticipation. I tore open my secret santa box with anticipation. No, it was not an Edsal lug wrench from Bob, it wasn't a lifetime size bag of bat guano from Stoney, not even a bag of coal from one of the 'smiths. The box was big enough, 18 X 18 X 8 and it weighed 18lbs. I opened it up and, what to my wondering eyes did appear, but a great big anonymous drill gun. No makers tag, but a 1/2"Jacobs chuck and a brand new cord.  Return address is 'Meredith, GunBarrel City , Texas'. I Google mapped it, it's 250 miles from Alvin, but Papaw is still my prime suspect. His HotShot drivers get around some. Hmmmmm. Anyhow, THANKS, Santa, it's lovely and will hang proudly next to my two old Black & Deckers and may even drill a hole now and then. I will be consulting Mr Darner for it's heritage.

That's a hefty bunch of drill.  You gotta punch some holes with it!

I won't spoil the surprise, but it wasn't Papaw or one of his hotshot drivers.

Thanks Mr Chuck, I'm sorry I accused you of being Papaw. You don't even look much like him.

Merry Christmas!  Happy New Year!

Thanks again.

Well, OK, but one of you doesn't have a beard. Let me see if I have this right. One of you has a long white beard, but the other one is Santa? Hmmmmm.......

Oh well, Thanks again Chuck.
