MORE ADJUSTABLE CROWSFOOT WRENCHES
« on: December 21, 2011, 12:04:09 PM »
Well,I got this bug about these adjustable crowsfoot wrenches. So,I bought 3 of them on Ebay from England. One for me and 2 for Xmas presents. They were on special for about $10.50 each. The tool itself is not marked anywhere and the package doesn't say where it's made. There is a big difference between the Snap On one and this. This one has a gear that you tighten and as you tighten harder it holds harder. If you flip it over you change directions. The Snap On one you must adjust it before you put it on or tighten it. The Snap On  one is in the bottom pic.A simple design , but This is another not as useful a tool as you would think. The package says " ideal for track rod ends" or tie rods. Well, maybe. We'll see. Now I'm looking for the J.H.Williams Adjustable Crowfoot.

I'm still wary of how useful those are.

I agree.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

I have the Snap on one. It is the only thing that will work on a fitting under the bathroom sinks and it works. After the first time without it I was ready to try anything.
All my taste is in my tools.

The Williams versions usually bring good money.

I could have used one a couple of weeks ago!  As much as a basin wrench is a good thing, by the time I was finished, I had cursed the basin wrench dead and blind.
