Sharpening Jig
Yadda:
I went back to an estate sale I visited last week and picked up this sweet little sharpening angle jig made by Veritas for Bridge City Tool Works. The owner had lots of BCTW tools, but the prices were all too far out of my price range. Most of them sold for ebay range prices. This was a big final clean out sale, so I picked up this little jewel for $7.
lptools:
Very nice!!
Bill Houghton:
Interesting. Similar to the jig with the basic Veritas Sharpening System (https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/tools/sharpening/guides/33001-veritas-sharpening-system?item=05M0210), but a different execution of the idea.
Yadda:
Yes, 4 angles, instead of 5.
Bill Houghton:
So just different enough not to be a direct competitor with Lee Valley - committed Bridge Citians could buy a Bridge-badged jig, while Lee Valley folks could buy the original. And everyone wins.
