Yes. Unfortunately, years ago I got rid of that sort of drill you have. And I have regretted that  mistake for a long time. But I did save a Brace that's real nice and I want to restore it. Where did you come by that drill of yours?
No matter how much you cut off, it's still too short

Looks like a Millers Falls with the roller that keeps the gear wheel steady.  Good find, whenever you found it!

I have a similar Miller Falls speed drill, marked on the handle #2-01  and rather than the roller guide to steady the gear to pinion contact it has a second pinion opposite the quill drive pinion. A real quality machine, runs very smooth.
