Farmers Ever-Ready Toolkit
« on: July 15, 2023, 01:52:40 PM »
Just picked this up, there are a few for sale on-line but no one seems to know anything about them. I'm looking for a manufacture, date range, and if there are any other tools made by this company. Thanks!

OK.  I'll ask the obvious question:  What is the purpose of the yoke at the end of the handle?

I believe it is used as an alligator style wrench.
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

Yes, it's an alligator wrench on the end, flat head screwdriver on the other handle end. Plus an axe, hammer, plyers, wire cutters and a wire crimper (I think).

When I saw this, immediately thought, whats a farmer need to get up and running, or least get it back to the barn.  In the past, 2 Crescent wrenches, pliers, heavy screwdriver, 3lb. hammer.  Duct tape and 10 ft. of baling wire.   Today, cell phone, laptop, and maybe a screwdriver.  ?

Yes, the screwdriver is to pop off the cover so he can replace the disc battery on his remote door opener.  I suspect modern tractors have remotes for some such thing.
