Wow.  Just wow.

Interesting mix of trades represented there: cabinetmaking, carpentry, that's all logical - and then a bearing scraper!

Hello, Al. I will find a spot, but right now tools are residing in the guest room! Bill, the former owner had a good eye, and bought all things mechanical!!

Hello, international3414.        The Edison Steel Works “Young Rip” Hacksaw Frame in very good user, or, collectible condition. Unusual design, not sure if red paint is original, I replaced the screws/wing nuts  that hold the blade. This comes with a new 12” Nicholson 18 TPI blade. Steel handle and frame, tensioner moves freely and works as it should. Stamped on frame; The Edison Steel Works Cleveland O “Young Rip” The Mechanic’s Saw   It’s All in the Blade Angle. This is one of the coolest hacksaws around!!

That crank with the wooden handle right below the smaller transitional plane--Is it a hub/lug wrench?
Can't make it out.
The ORIGINAL Northwoods.

Hello, Northwoods . The tool with the  wood crank handle is a Sill Borer. Basically a Right Angle Bit Brace.

I'm studying the "Young Rip" saw and for the life of me can't figure out what is with the use/ advantage of the unusual design. More ridged blade perhaps?

Hello, JoeCB. My thought was it keeps the kerf open to avoid pinching the blade on thin metal.
