Hello, Al. The FO had 1000's of tools, owned 2 houses next to each other. Haven't even started looking at the power tools! The cast iron piece is a String or Bobbin Holder from a heavy duty sewing machine.

Have you ever used one of those Drill Doctor sharpeners? I've heard mixed reviews on them. I see them at flea markets and tag sale around me occasionally. Just wondering if it's worth snagging one.

Hello, gibsontool. The piece you asked about is a Mortise Edge Bolt for a door. I'm guessing Eastlake pattern on the steel.
