Memphis, NY Barn Sale...11/18/22
« on: November 15, 2022, 02:17:37 PM »
To the Barn Sale again!  I haven't done much shopping lately.  Trying to stick to things I can resell.  So I found a Snap-On Hose Clamp Pliers HCP48BP wiith only a little surface rust.  Motorcraft 36mm impact 1/2 drive deep socket.  And a Craftsman battery pliers with patterned handle.  They were nice so I put a pair of Bluebird pliers in the for sale box and kept the Craftsman.  This photo is before they were cleaned - forgot to take an "after" shot.

Always have battery pliers handy,  in my carry box, the big Snapon box, and a pair near the battery charger.  Along with a battery brush, clamp spreader, and clamp puller.  The battery is one place one cant be too heavy handed.   Break the seals around the posts and youll have a corroded leaker.

Battery pliers were critical tools in the mechanic's box back when the hydrogen off-gassing from the battery could corrode the nuts on the battery clamps in a short minute.  With modern "maintenance free" batteries, this is much less of an issue.  But, of course, it's better to have the pliers than not...
