VACO Torx Drivers
« on: November 07, 2022, 06:31:47 PM »
I picked these up at an estate sale.  They cleaned up nice.
The set includes a 27 Torx which seems a little unusual.  I really like the amber handles with the black oxide shafts.
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

Hello, yadda. Those look great! Does the end on the 27 look any different than the others? A hole in the end?  It may be for tamper-proof screws. Regards, Lou

I checked.  No hole in the center, but the fluted end is twice the length of the others.  Over on the multi tool forum I frequent, I was informed Stihl products use T27 fasteners.

Those Torx drivers you got sure are nice. I'd like em myself, but looks like my chances lay better with a set of  6", 1/4" Hex drive Torx bits. Aside from just finding em to begin with, shipping would be far less for the 6" bits. And I've got Felo and Wiha handles. Anyway, I'm sure you'll get some use from those.

No matter how much you cut off, it's still too short
