Selling tools at our motorcycle swap meet
« on: September 04, 2021, 08:07:00 PM »
Today we had a club swap meet at a local mcy shop.  At the Spring swap meet I sold about $200 worth of tools.  At this Fall meet I sold about $50.  Possibly its just too late in the year and maybe a Fall meet isn't a good idea.  But everyone had a good time.  So $50 - minus $30 spent on motorcycle parts (I bought an oil tank for my Triumph, kickstart lever and a NOS Barnett clutch cable for my Project bike).  Spent $12 for a food truck lunch with my wife.  $1 in the tip jar and 10% ($5) for Victory Fire Dept (they supplied the tables).  Balance - $2 !!  But I have some really cool bike parts, met a lot of my friends and had a lot of fun.

Sounds like you had a great time and you've got $2 in your pocket.  I would tally that in the day well spent column!

Look at the bright side.  You cleared some space at home, refilled some of it.  Had a meal.  Got away for a full day's entertainment,  and MADE a profit!  I would consider that a fantastic day.
