The wife bought a couple of boxes at an auction, these are some of the goodies  stuck in the bottom of the boxes.A Ford wrench, a Stanley folding rule, and the  tack hammer puller, Is that a perfect handle brand?

I have not seen that hammer in a Smith catalog. Look very closely - might have Germany stamped on it.

No, it's a complete piece of trash.  If you'd like, I can send you my address, and I can dispose of it safely for you

The wife like this one, I wonder if I can mount it on the wall of the kitchen? She did not see it when she bid on the lot number.

From a tip on Facebook, I found it in a 1892 Stanley catalog, Pretty sure it's a #4 it's not walnut.

I think the Osborne saddler's hammer looked like that also.  I will check one of my catalogs upstairs tomorrow.

Yes the Osborn hammer looks like it but lacks the tack puller on the end of the handle. The more I look at it the more it looks like walnut.... Going to clean it up and give it a waxing, that will preserve it.
