Kraeuter DOE Set

I just purchased four Kraeuter double open end wrenches and want to complete the set.  I think there's 14 wrenches in the set and currently I have A1416, A1619, A1922 and A2225.  I'll need help completing the set if anyone has some.  The wrenches I need are:

A1316
A1618
A1820
A2225
A2426
A2428
A2831
A2832
A3134

Unfortunately I can't help with the missing ones but I had to comment those are such nice wrenches.

Don't mean to rain on your parade, but here are three you haven't listed that are in my collection.  A-1416, A-1619 and A-1922.  I really don't know how many make a set, of those you list I'm missing A-1214, A-2426, A-3034 and A-3134.  So, that adds up to 15, as I have eleven in my collection.  I got mad that I couldn't find the ones I needed and quit looking some years ago.  There are two other types, tappet and S.  In the tappet wrenches I have C-1214, C-1820 and C-2428 and I think there are 4 in the set.  Lastly, there are "S" wrenches, of the same design.  I have six of them, B-1214, B-1218, B-2022, B-2426, B-2832 and B-3440. I think the S wrenches are complete??  I sold my duplicates some years ago, but still have one of the tappet wrenches, C-2428.  If by chance you come across any of the ones I'm missing and don't need it I will trade you the tappet wrench.

Yes, I believe your S set is complete at six.  The three wrenches you mention are already accounted for.  I'll keep you in mind if I end up with extras (likely will).

So far, as I know:

There are 16 DOE style; A1214 thru A3134.
I think you have all the info on them

There are 7 'S' wrenches; B1214 thru B3440

There are 6 check nut wrenches; C1214 to C2428

The only tappet wrench I have ever seen is on AA website.
It is O1820.  Thin, like a check nut wrench, but long.

There is also a heavy version of B3440 marked 'DREADNOUGHT' rather than KRAEUTER.

Leg 17----I always thought my "C" wrenches were tappet wrenches, but you say they are check nut wrenches.  What exactly is a check nut wrench?

So would you use the thinner wrench on the check nut, or the primary? I can see where a thinner wrench like a Tappet wrench would come in handy for clearance!! I have always used 2 wrenches to be sure, or is that defeating the purpose??

Kraeuter, like Williams, Billings, and the other major players called them 'Check Nut Wrench'.
Intended for use on lock nuts, or check nuts.  Hank looked up the definition.

Oh crap, 86 years old and didn't know what a check nut wrench was. guess I will have to go back to school.  Thanks for all the info.  I just always used two regular DOE wrenches to do that job.

I've never heard that term CHECK NUT WRENCH before, like some of the others the majority of the time I used DOEs and if needed I used a tappet wrench.

Some of mine, got more that are hiding.  My larger sizes are very lightly stamped,  or have no stampings for size.
