If I had a hammer
« on: February 22, 2020, 06:58:26 PM »
Recovered this nice hammer head today right before it was destined for the dumpster (don't ask).  Handle was iffy (well, it was crap), so i let it go.   Planning on re-handling this as I really like it.

And it's a Warren and Ted tool, too!  Great find.

Six pounder?  Short handle or long handle?
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

When hammer heads get too battered, to err on the side of caution -- toss it before a chip spalls off & causes serious injury.   I had a chip spall off of my "favorite" hammer years ago during a house remodel.  It really disfigured the hammer face so it was no good for finish work.
