Secret Santa?
« on: November 21, 2011, 08:11:41 AM »
I have participated in Secret Santa on several forums, and always enjoyed the exchange.
It has been suggested that we have one on Tool Talk, but since I didn't think about it soon enough, I'm not sure we have enough time to organize it.
Here is a poll to see how many would be interested.

I am all for it if we can get it going ASAP.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

But, yes, if it's soon, i'm game, it was fun last year : )

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Looks like we have some interest from a core of members.
I suggest we make a decision right away, and I hope more will decide to join in. International members are more than welcome to join, we will have members willing to mail overseas and to Canada.
Amertrac, if you are volunteering to manage the names and the pairings, I believe you will be the best choice. Any problems that come up, you and I can work them out.
Further discussion is needed-
Final date of joining
Final date of name pairing
Last possible date of mailing
Value is tough when dealing with old tools, but $25- $30 seems reasonable

we will have t0 work backwards
the last shipping date first having to facilitate over seas shipping
then the date of last accepting of names. The pairing could be the day after. If we make that date close at midnight. I am usually up at 4:30 every morning so thats not a problem. JUST GIVE YOUR HANDLE AND YOUR ADDRESS so i can find you if there any questions.
