Wilton Vise

Hello, i spotted this on CL, and the photo was deceiving. I thought I was looking at a smaller Wilton, but I couldn't leave this one behind. 3-1/2" jaws, overall good shape, if I am reading the date on the barrel correctly, 1-75, this was manufactured in 1970? I tried to find some info from the numbers on the casting, not sure if I am reading them correctly 101020 and 835, or 335?? Made in Schiller Park. Regards, Lou

I have 3 Wilton Bullet vises, 6 inch, 5 inch and 2 inch baby. I have read confusing posts on the date stamps on the key at the bottom of the cylindrical shaft. I originally read that the date stamp was the date the 5 year warranty expired later I read that wasn't true so I'm not sure either. If I remember correctly I paid more for the baby 2 inch than I paid for either of the other 2. Visit Wiltonviseparts.net and read their "How Old Is My Vise" right side of the top banner.

Hello, Lewill2. Thanks for the info, I checked out the site. From what I read, the stamp on the slide that I have here is the manufacture date, 1975. I now have a 3-1/2", a 4", and a Shop King ( with the often missing hardie) . Regards, Lou

I just sold 1947 4" bullet that belonged to my grandfather. My son and grandsons have no interest in any of my tools and equipment. I'm starting to sell off a few things I can't really use anymore. Sold for $325, not sure if I won or lost.
