Have had a number of drawknives,  find them pretty handy for my level of woodwork.   Finally got my hands on one with the folding handles like this,  its in a nice spot on the wall, but still an interesting concept.

One of these would be handy if you were a carpenter who used a drawknife on the job.

Hello, p. I like the way that is made, the slotted handles, and the split tang around the blade body. (at least that is what I think I am seeing) . Regards, Lou

The two round "knobs" are spring loaded and when you pull them you can "release" the handles to the out (or in) position.   The handles are split down the middle and the whole thing works well, but i find the "split" uncomfortable on the hands.   It's an altogether beautiful piece.
