I answered an ad for a tool lot and went there after lunch on Memorial Day. A woman was helping clear out the estate of her daughter's late husband. She said many of the tools had belonged to the guy's father, who was an engineer and sold products to a major car manufacturer. I came home with 5 or 6 boxes. Some of it is unusual and I will post it here as I sort it out. Other tools are OK users and there's some lower quality asian stuff.

Stamped NYCS (New York Central System), you can just make out "Billings" and it is marked 370B and has the size marks on the other side 1 and 1-1/8 inch.

Lou will like this hex key holder marked "PHOENIX GAGE CO. PHOENIX, N.Y. PAT PEND." The blade that latches has dimensional marks and the letters S and C. The marks appear to relate to the size of the screw thread. The S marks are 4 thru 3/4 and the C marks are 4 thru 1/2. The latch blade functions well and locks in place.

Starrett auto center punch - I have smaller autos but no Starretts. Two nice small Snappys. The OEX100 will match my set. The pliers have no markings other than the Vacuum Grip pattern and a date code? inside the handle. Very nice condition, very small and light.
More to come.
