Craftsman saw
« on: May 04, 2018, 11:13:23 PM »
Picked up this old Craftsman saw at a thrift shop.   Original case with a few attachments.   Was able to plug it in before leaving,  runs smooth and no ozone smell.  Don't think I got hurt, besides I could a better one than what I have.  Good deal or not?

The bushings on which the spindle runs on those are widely separated, so it's quite stable - a good thing.

Still, the old saber/sabre saws are limited; I've owned several over the years, and they're limited to soft or thin woods.  But if you've improved on your current saw, that's got to be a good thing.

I have one that's in that same vintage that is still running strong. I like it.
