J H Williams at Goodwill
« on: February 17, 2018, 12:31:56 PM »
Hello, This is my first Goodwill purchase, $1.07, a very rusty/crusty J H Williams 6" Super Adjustable. Nothing moves just yet, will follow up after cleaning. Regards, Lou

I get the impression that. some of the goodies are intercepted. Maybe another buyer just got there first.

Living in the Northwest I have no problem finding tools or old gas engines that I collect. Finding enough money to buy the stuff is my problem. I live across the river from Portland Oregon where there is a lot of unemployment and people that have retired and no longer need the tools that fed them over the years. I have not been to the Goodwill store for appox 40 years. By the time I leave the Habitat Restore, my money is gone. This week Craigslist got all my money. Another Kennedy top box and two small engines.

I was at a Restore on Hiway 30 in your country last summer. Near St. Helen. Got a nice Plomb DOE. Paid by the pound.

I came across an 8" Superjustable today and left it. Not as bad looking as the OP's. Chrome peel and frozen mechanism, but I'm sure it could have been made functional.

But I left it as I have enough Crescent wrenches.
