Hello, I went to a house last Sunday to buy a few tools, here are some of the items found there. The former owner had a good eye, and I believe he liked the patented items. At top is what I believe to be a Wm. Marples Archimedean Centrifiugal Style Drill. Next is a Reliance 2" Square Edge Socket Firmer? Framing? Chisel. Next is a Bridgeport Hardware Triangular Scraper, with a Perfect Style? Handle. Next, (within the calipers) is a GM Co. Mfg.Inc. Jewelers Cross Peen Hammer, a Handy (finger ring) Twine Cutter, and a U-Dial-It 5 in 1 Blade Holder ( for double edge razor blades). At the bottom is a wooden caliper stamped NARRAGANSETT MACHINE CO. PROVIDENCE R.I. I am guessing the wood is boxwood, much like the wood used in a zig-zag rule??? The company made wood & metal lathes in the late 1800's, and then started making gym equipment. Not sure if this was a tool that they sold, or if it came from the factory. Spoiler alert, this is not a gloat!!!!!!!! I paid dearly for these items, and quite a few more:-) All of the above I have never seen before, and I had some time, and wanted to share. Questions, corrections, suggestions always welcomed!!!! Regards, Lou
