This is where the big tool boxes of today got their start.

Great looking set Bill! Is it full of tools?  User or display?

I have a ~60's-70's-80's KRA chest.  The type where the front cover folds up into the lid.  I can't find the year code, probably faint because of paint and I need better light and a magnifier.  I need to research it better. After I do, I'll post it here.

I've got a fair amount of Craftsman "Crown Logo" boxes, and more than a few of the barred oval logo before the crown logo.  I'm getting pics ready.

Who else has some examples of the vintage craftsman tool boxes?

Hello, Chilly. The card file cabinet is all original, and I throw a couple 10 gram silica gel packets in each drawer to fight rust. Sorry, no older Craftsman boxes here, other than the smaller top handle carry types. Regards, Lou

Sorry I took so long to answer. Some how I missed it .
Yes it is a display piece and houses part of the collection.
