Veterans Day (USA)
« on: November 11, 2016, 06:10:05 AM »
I just wanted to say thank you for your service to all the veterans on tooltalk. Words can't possibly say how thankfull I am for your service.

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I never got around to wishing all the Marines a happy birthday. Two hundred forty-one years and counting!

kind of breezy today, but my American flag is waving proudly.

my Eagle flag is waving also, along with my 3' x 5'  U.S. Army flag.
( my service 1959 - 1961 )

I can still vision my mother listening to the radio every night during WW ll  as
she had 8 brothers serving at that time. 5 in the U.S.Army, 1 in the U.S. Navy,
1 in the U.S. Marines and 1 in the Polish Army.
my Dads brother was in the Merchant Marines. ( I believe that is what it was called)
