Let me first say that I am totally enjoying the forum so far. And I'm learning stuff. For example, I've always loved the style, but I never knew the name "Perfect" before. I couldn't tell you where it came from, but I've had a Perfect, minus the wood. I've messed with it a couple times, but it's not at the top of the list of projects. I started shaping a couple chunks of oak to fit it, but haven't gone much farther. The shank has two holes, presumably for rivets. I'm not much of a metal worker, so rivets are probably not in the cards. I was thinking oval wood screws, one from each side. But I'd entertain other ideas.
What say you?
