Researchers studying climate change have come up with a new theory involving a change in the center of mass of the planet. They believe that the relocation of mass into a line centered over roughly over Texas has caused the earth to tilt slightly changing it's alignment with the sun. Field studies are still inconclusive as to the exact reason why the center of mass has moved, although some speculate it has something to do with massive quantities of iron being shipped into Alvin in the form of wrenches...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Maybe that's why it has suddenly decided to rain here!

That's only 1/2 correct. A few years ago there was a program on PBS (I think it was NOVA) about how the earth's magnetic fields are reversing. They speculated that this was the cause of the drastic climate changes taking place.

They did not take into consideration the extremely large amout of iron in Alvin Texas. This has thrown all their calculations off and now the world is in deep sheep dip. If I was you guys I would move to the mountains in NYS. There is a reported deposit of iron there that has a stabilizing effect on the region. It is almost ten times greater than the one in Alvin Texas. I think they mentioned Wurtsboro.
