Wrench came with Deere & Mansur Corn Planters. Nothing to do with steam. Deere didn't make any steam powered equipment..
A little quote i found,
"By the early 1900s, Deere plows began to be powered by steam engines".

Would it be for a 1940's gasoline "tractor" corn planter, or a 1850's walk-behind "horse" corn planter, no steam in between ?

I think Deere & Mansur est. 1850's? merged into Deere and co. about 1910 so I would think later tool versions would be marked Deere and co., or John Deere.
Thanks for the reply.
