Plomb Candleholders?
« on: January 29, 2012, 04:51:20 PM »
Got these a couple weeks  back.  The seller said they would make nice candleholders...  I saved them from a life on a shelf with a candle shoved in em. They are still going to live on a shelf, but at least with the dignity of still being tools!
Both are marked,
  USN 223 7/8 USS(1 7/16)
  PLOMB MADE IN USA NR

That would have been a real shame! Those are "slugging " wrenches, I believe.

I believe Papaw is correct they look like small slugging wrenches to me too. The top one even seems to have been slugged a few times.
All my taste is in my tools.

Plomb Made in USA
(on reverse)
