S in a Circle Logo
« on: June 14, 2015, 03:05:13 PM »
Got a pair of nippers just like these on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Fulton-Hand-Held-Wire-Cutters-Nippers-Nail-Pullers-Pry-Bar-End-Handle-/231588661236?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35ebc287f4

They have a S in a circle and a number on them. (camera is broke)
I checked all the Starrett catalogs on the Blackburn site but came up empty handed on these nippers.
So my question is, has anyone seen a pair of these that are Starrett or maybe there was another company before Starrett used the S in a circle logo?

The logo on mine is to the left of HDS &co, but that's them folks.

I had went thru all the logo's on AA and WR and Starrett was the only one that I had found so I assumed that there were Starrett. They did make a couple compound pliers though.

Here's a shot of the former HD Smith factory. The  "S" logo's are used in the post supports.
