Hardware Store score
« on: May 22, 2015, 11:37:09 AM »
There is an old hardware store in downtown Milwaukee that has been there since they invented hardware.  I went there on a tip from my daughter that they had a room full of closeouts and stuff. This is what I found.

There are a couple of very small pipe wrench jaws and there is a present for Oily. A new Thorsen ratchet innards assembly. The case holds 4 drawers, but there are 5 so there was another case at one time.

Wow what a find. That will be of use for years to come. Passed up a chance to buy a lot of repair parts at auction several years ago and am still kicking myself. Congratulations.

Probably not Papaw. Mostly Diamond Tool parts.

Does anyone have a Diamond Tool and Horseshoe catalog that lists parts?

Man nice find.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

I've got an 1986ish Diamond catalog with adjustables and pliers, but no parts.

very good find. must be almost a 1,000 pieces in there.

ATTENTION EVERYONE; make a note to be on the lookout for an older Diamond tool
catalog with a parts list.

Plierench spare parts?

I'd be interested in finding some of the Plierench "accessory jaws" for mine.  Sadly, I only have the one that was in it when I found it.

BTW, great find John!

Great score Jim.

I've been seeking those 4 drawer boxes for the last 18 months. I think the box may be a Waterloo brand.
