Easterly Cast tractor seat
« on: February 16, 2015, 01:21:40 PM »
I found this at a tiny local flea market this weekend.  I don't collect tractor seats...but I did bring home that Barnes cast lathe seat a while back and he needed a friend...

Nice find.  And be very, very careful never to say, "I don't collect...X."  You could find lots of X lined up in front of your door, jumping up and down, begging for attention, just to prove you wrong.

1930, there are cast and stamped.  From what I have seen, the stamped are usually the plain seats.  Some of the cast ones can be very ornate.  If you do a google search for "cast iron implement seat", there are the results from a Fred Stokes auction that shows a bunch of seats with auction prices they went for.
