a paypal question
« on: September 13, 2011, 06:45:49 PM »
I have been buying/selling with paypal for a while and recently when someone sends me money the funds show up in my balance but the money is unavailable for a few days to 16 days. This has only happened the last two months .Does  not include all all the transactions most of them were big sales. i had to wait 16 days for a sale in Belgium. Did they change the rules again. I wonder if the seller did not ship untill the money was available could the buyer send in a complaint? When you fill out the ad it asks when you will ship. you put when the money is available that may cause a real problem. I THOUGHT THE BIG THING WITH PAYPAL WAAS INSTANT MONEY   bob w.

If someone uses their bank accound and not a credit card it will be posted as an e-check and it will take time to be available. In the note paypal will tell you not to ship the item until it has cleared. Funny thing is I don't know what it shows on their end. It may just show that they have paid. What I usally do is contact the person and let them know what the hold up is.

I've had that happen a bunch of times.I had a dispute filed against me for an item that was received damaged and Paypal froze my account until it was settled. That tool about 3 weeks.
