I am saddened to hear this news. He was a great man in many ways.

My deepest condolances to his family an friends.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

I didn't know Bob very well, but I really enjoyed reading his posts.

I got an old Hinsdale socket set from him not long before he stopped posting, which I'll keep and cherish til the end.

Rest in peace,Bob.

Remembered a conversation today that Bob and I had a little over a year back.
Bob remarked he had gotten even with more than a few people who were waiting to put him in the ground by selling the tools they were planning to inherit and blowing the money he got for those tools.  He loved pointing out he had outlived other people's plans for him.

Coffee mug in the raised position for Bob.

Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance!

Classic!  I join you in raised mug!

Having joined recently I haven't yet read all of his posts, but I've enjoyed the ones I've gotten to already and look forward to memorializing him by reading his posts in the future.
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

I'd like to think Bob is still keeping an eye on the forum, wherever he is. RIP Amertrac!
My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.
