HUNTER 65002 521-c with beautiful handle patina

I think someone posted one of these previously on this forum-can't seem to locate or remember what they were intended for??  HELP!

This looks like an ic chip setting tool.

There's a huge market for certain old computer processors.

That one looks like a first generation Insertic tool.

Agreed.

Hunter made a lot of stuff targeted at the early electronics industry, and they made gorgeous nut drivers with pretty reddish handles :)

(Later tools by others got cheaped out, all you got was the aluminum form and a place to press...)
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

There is also a Hunter (Industries) that manufactures irrigation equipment.................BUT, agreed it is a chip insert tool.  They are common in PC toolkits (even today).

There is a Hunter Co. that manufactures auto front end alignment equipment, when I opened this, thought I was going to see a long one inch wrench!
