Armstrong tools

Anyone have an opinion? Seems now I have a few of their tools, ratchets and wrenches, I thought I was going to google and hear that they were junk but just the opposite, I read they were along with SK stuff.

Where would they be purchased?....mixed opinions, Ive read Napa but also Sears?

Maybe these are keepers or at least decent trading material.

in my 1919 & 1924 Chandler & Farquhar Co. catalogs, the only Armstrong tools that I see are
the Armstrong Ratchet Drills.

at that time, they were handling Billings & Spencer,  Walden, Mosberg and some un-named mfg. wrenches.

Armstrong is still selling good tools. Some from sears and other places, and many from tool suppliers to refineries and plants.

Armstrong was bought out in1994 by Danahar Corp. & Cooper tool, then formed Apex Tool Group
that owns; Allen, Armstrong, Gearwrench, Crescaen,Jacob Chucks, Cleco, Cambell, Dotco, Erem,
Lufkin, Wiss, Nicholson, Weller, Xcelite and others.

when I put my zip code to locate a dealer,  a whole list for FASTENAL came up.

I saw Armstrong listed under; Kahntools, M.S.C.  &  Graingers and others.

 I always considered them a strong tool, a few that I have are beafy.

There great tools. Most are made in the usa. I have many of them as my daily users. I buy them all from grainger, Sears or craigslist.

If you have a question on a specific tool let me know, I may have it.

I agree that Armstrong tools are pretty decent. ~SK is pretty accurate, so better than normal Craftsman, not as good as Mac. Beefy tools, IMHO.

I bought a new in package set, here and there, off ebay. There is a seller that has them up all the time, with $1 shipping.

Im going to post a small pile in the for sale section, maybe you can buy and re-sell if you like, I looked on E-bay and the 10 inch adjustable is already bid ( not mine ) up to what Id like to get out of my small pile ( 20 dollars )

I dont have time for e-bay just to make a few bucks, my time is already not enough
