2 unknown Bell System tools

Anyone know what these are called?

One on right is made by Pfingst &Co,  one on left by General Machine

My guess would be that they are both some kind of wire strippers, the big guy may be missing a part or two. If it is in fact a stripper, I would think it's missing a cutter of some sort ?

I agree, they are used to slit the outer cover of the multi conductor cables.

And the Pfingst Co. one has wrenches in the handle for the nuts on terminal blocks, (possibly also the lightning "arrester" fuse block that mounted on the outside of farm houses & the like -- our phone line came over the top of a hill & lightning took it several times -- one strike not only fried the telephone but jumped through the insulation into the lamp cord that was lying parallel to the phone cord and from there took care of mom's radio as well.  )
