Hayes, Rock Island, Blue Point and ?
« on: September 05, 2011, 03:49:47 PM »
Couple of wrenchs from todays auction. The Hayes A375, the Rock Island R1124 and the Blue Point C-1514 (15/64 by 7/32) were easy to identify, but who is that other feller ?  Looks to be malleable casting about 3/8 thick with 1/4 opening. Is it a set screw wrench ? The mark on head could be feeder pad. See no purpose for loop opening except for weight reduction. Still a hefty little wrench. Seems way overdesigned for a setscrew wrench. Can anyone confirm its usage or point me in right direction ?

Sorry bout that. Didn't mean to cut Hayes A-375 in two. If I took your picture your head would probably be lopped. any way heres a full ( I hope ) picture of Hayes wrench

Just out of curiousity, would you wanna sell that Hayes wrench? Thats my last name and always looking to add to my collection. I think my A375 casting is flipped the other way. Will have to check though.
