Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

WOW! He is certainly proud of them! He has more panels with more tools pictured than mine have.
Yes, no pipe wrenches there, and none in the spaces on my board. I have never seen a Crescent pipe wrench, and find none for sale anywhere.

Have you researched if Crescent took over somebody else and maybe they never changed the name on the wrenches. I keep looking also and I have never seen any like pictured on your boards.

I'm just assuming that they did sell them since they are pictured on the display with the correct markings, part numbers, and hand written resale prices.

I still think back to the garage /shop sale in Shell Rock where I missed out on a set of three Crescent pipe wrenches by a day.  The seller swore they were Crescents and commented that he'd never seen another set.  Oh well, maybe they do exist.;....

Papaw, I could go back to the shop where I got that thing and ask them where they picked it it.  I remember it being from somewhere in Northern Iowa and maybe some future estate sales up there would have some.....

Yeah, I maybe under the influence......iron oxide and PB Blaster.........

I just bought a Crescent ad showing the pipe wrenches.
Sure, if you get back up that way, ask around.

Having a need for Thorsen pipe wrenches myself, I've been keeping my eyes peeled for the both  of us.  I've inspected every pipe wrench I've come across for months now, and I've seen neither.  Around here (old oil money central) you find pipe wrenches everywhere and a dime a dozen.

I did see a rather strange (to me) old Craftsman pipe wrench in a pawn shop Saturday as I was being rushed to get out of the store so they could close.  I believe it was a 12" with some sort of circular (moving) lower jaw and spring....like no pipe wrench design I've seen.  It looked like something between a basin wrench and a pipe wrench.  I've already regretted not bringing it home.

Rest assured I look at every single one I come across to see if it is Crescent or Thorsen.  We'll find them.
