The open end is 9/16 the box end is 1/2.

That could cause a bit of  cursing if you have slid under the car thinking you had either 9/16" or 1/2" combo.. spanner!

Very unusual wrench. Not only have I never seen a "Monroe" wrench, I have also never seen a combination wrench that had 2 different sizes.

It looks a lot like the wrenches vlchek produced for western auto in the westcraft name. The location of the die number, the type style, the handle profile, the open end head shape...
 However, I can't find any examples of vlchek using just "Forged <> USA", then again, they were rather variable on wrench markings for contract stuff....2c
