Whats this
« on: August 23, 2014, 05:26:45 PM »

At first I thought maybe bearing/seal installer but now I do not think so.
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

Again, could be a bearing tool. There are also similar alignment type tools for shafts, clutch plates,  etc. that are similar.

The way the end looks mushroomed I would guess bearing install /remove tool.

Does it screw into those other round things in the other thread?
It could be the hammer half of a seal tool with interchangable heads/sizes...?
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Yes it does, glad that I could at least put the tools back with one another, now the biggest problem will be finding a use for them.

Seal tool huh?

At work, the Dodge/Jeep dealership, there is a tool cabinet with at least 50 varieties of these installers.   Use them on the press without the screw in handle too.  One looks up the number, compares it to the factory tool inventory, hunts for it, then uses what fits.

That's a lot better than the alternative - finding a socket that fits best and trying to hammer straight!
