1945 should be the Wright date code. 40 - 60 was used for 1940 - 1960.

Captured some Wright combination wrenchs last night. Range from 9/16 to 1 inch. Thought I got 16 in the box but one was a Craftsman interloper (he didn't make the photo op). Thought several were duplicates but most that were same size differed in length. Only three had date code (S) for 1976. Thought these could keep my breaker bar company. You guys(you know who you are) that touted Wright as quality tools are to blame for this. Assume the uncoded ones are newer.

I consider wright to be as good as snap on. Wright is still family owned since 1927 in the same town Barberton, Ohio. There tools are still made in USA with USA steel. You can find them on the internet. I had a socket that was cracked I got from a yardsale and I called there toll free number, told them about it and they just sent me a new one.

I really like the Wright Tool mini head 3/8 drive ratchets, both the straight and the flex head. They are great for light conveyor and machinery assembly/repair. They fit in your pocket really nice. I probably have 3 or 4 of the flex head and another 5 or 6 of the straight head. The ratchet pawl assembly is a little fragile so you can't do real heavy stuff with them but they are guaranteed. The head is only 13/16 inches in diameter. Straight handled one is 4 11/16 long and the flex head is 5 1/2 long. The flex head is #3440 and the straight handle is #3430
