Probably V&B  -- Vaughan & Bushnell .  They made swinging hook jaw pipe wrenches of this type.
According to a 1911 hardware catalog listing reprinted in the Dec. 1984 MVWC Newsletter, they had 10", 14", 18" & 24" sizes available.
Design Patent D29,767 ( http://www.datamp.org/patents/displayPatent.php?number=29767&typeCode=2 )  was issued for the V&B pipe wrench design in 1898.

Stan is correct.
Also called One-Handers, they are self-adjusting pipe wrenches.
