Two Whatsits

The first one is an unknown logo.  The second is some kind of odd opener or burnisher thing.

The first one is of a type I have seen in Japanese motorcycle or car tool kits.   The second one greatly resembles a printers tool for picking up sheets of paper, if it only had an upper half with an adjustable tooth.

The top one is for a subaru tool kit.

Thanks,

Have to ask Capt. Kirk or Spock about the wrench Logo,  It looks like Starfleet Command Logo to me ;-)

Only if you hold the wrench vertically.

In space there is no "up" or "down".

I am not sure that is it.  I searched Ebay and Google for Subaru wrenches and Subaru logos, and I could not find a confirmation.

Lexus? It is a lot like a Lexus logo although the "L" is more stylized on the wrench. But the wrench is almost certainly Japanese in that is so similar to Honda and other Japanese wrenches.

I've got a flip shank screwdriver with that mark on it and I assumed it was from a Lexus tool kit. now you all have got me wondering.
My guess on the other would be a burnishing tool also, maybe leather.

We've seen that logo on a wrench before and I don't think we came to a conclusion.

Seems like when there is a weird unidentified tool , it ends up being for leather work.

Here is a link to an ebay auction where you can see the logo if you blow up the photo.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Subaru-Tool-Kit-From-1977-Wagon-/261425715008?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cde2fd740&vxp=mtr

Someone on the site had asked their mechanic and actually gave away a Subaru tool kit with the marked wrenches on tool talk.

Thanks,

Kirk

I did not think to search Subaru tool kit.  Thanks for the info.  I guess that settles it then.

Thanks,

John

Lexus issues a tool kit?  I'd be surprised - their target demographic is unlikely to be doing field repairs.
