Hello all, The attached picture shows a special wrench that was part of the tool kit for a 1920's Caille Liberty outboard motor. The wrench is shown on the parts sheet as "25076 Spark Plug wrench". What makes this wrench distinctive is the slot in the handle that I believe was to be used on the several wing nuts that are used on this motor. I guess that the hex box end id 1 -1/8 " , the size of the old Champion C-4 spark plugs. I say "guess" because, although there are several of the old motors among us that collect such things , no one has ever had a OEM wrench. I am also guessing that this is a flat stamped metal wrench, not a full body forging, but again only a guess.
So any of you folks ever seen one like it? Are the "flat" wrenches something that collectors specialize in. I have no idea if this Caille wrench had a makers mark or part number on it. Oh' what might help is that Caille motors were made in Detroit. If someone has such a wrench I sure would appreciate a discription, photo , tracing or perhaps even an oppertunity to purchase.
Thanks for looking ...
