Bernard 577 Pliers
« on: December 20, 2013, 02:07:53 PM »
These 6 1/2 - inch old Bernard wire cutting pliers were made by the William Schollhorn Company of New Haven, CT.  One jaw has a round-bottomed slot cut into it to facilitate wire stripping.

These pliers are drop-forged and very different from the formed sheetmetal and pin construction of the other Bernard wire cutting pliers I have seen.

I do not have a date on these, but I would guess it to be somewhat before 1900.
