Found this group of tools at a garage sale today they were too cheap to pass up. I'am mostly into 40's and 50's mechanic tools and don't know much about the older tools. Have to say I kinda like these, about what time are these from? Did a lot of companies make this type of handle (wood ones)? Lastly, I haven't seen a leather handle screwdriver before are they common, but then again I don't get out much. Thanks for any info. roy

Hey there, nice looking group of tools. Do any of them have any markings on them... makers names, numbers, ect.?  That would probably help us figure out when and where they came from.  Do the tools that have "screw mechanisms" on them work correctly--- are the teeth in order?  I'm not the best person to ask about this. But, you have pictures posted---- which is GREAT!!!
    So, let us know if you can find any "markings" on the tools. Particular the wrench, it should have a marking on top of the jaw, on the side, or a number on it. But, I'll leave that all to the experts.

 Peck Stow & Wilcox wrench probably around turn of century. Nice condition.
Truth leather handled screwdriver is interesting. Don't remember seeing one either. Leather handles found on some monkey wrenchs.
The transition from the handle to the shank is very nice.

Thank you for the info. I learn something every time I log on here. Also found some info on Truth tools at Alloy Artifacts they started making tools in the late teens, including screwdrivers. From the looks of this one I would guess early production.

Welcome to the site "stormking"! Nice looking group of old tools! I have never seen a factory wrapped leather handle like your "Truth" screwdriver, but yours sure looks like one. I have since did a search, and found a couple of other examples of similar ones, but yours is outstanding looking.
