Snap-On F-1820
« on: July 29, 2013, 05:32:16 PM »
Got this Hammerhead Boxsocket and can't determine correct date of manufacture. Date code looks like 1946 to me. Find this wrench in 1930's catalogs but 6 doesn't look like 1936 code and don't find wrench in 1940's catalogs. Is it 1936 or 1946 ?

It does look like a 46, but I do not think these were made in the 40s.  so, best guess is 1929.

Thanks Snapmom. Found this wrench in 1929 cat. Guess I shouldn't hang upside down when I read.
