Mossberg or . . . ?
« on: March 31, 2013, 03:38:06 PM »
I bought this socket set because I am missing a few sockets from my Mossberg No. 13 set. When I got it home and looked at the sockets only a few were Mossberg and none were the sizes I was missing. The box is in decent shape and had all of the sockets -- plus a U-joint -- so I thought I'd add an extra Mossberg ratchet and extension that I had laying around and make a "set."

When I looked at the reference I have for Mossberg sets, none of the boxes had the peg for the ratchet on the left side. And when I put the ratchet in place, the wrench was too close to the holes for the sockets and partially blocked them. Also note that the flats on the square ends of the U-joint are not parallel with the edges of the yokes but are turned 45 degrees.

Anybody know the manufacturer of this set?

I think I have a few extra Mossberg sockets that go with the No. 13 box. PM, if interested.

Thanks, Eddie. Another one I've not seen before.

Yours looks a little squarer than the Hinsdale.
