Christamas in June
« on: June 30, 2011, 05:26:51 PM »
Received lots of packages today and it is all much appreciated, first is this nice set of Austin wrenches sent from overseas tool talk member Benjy, he even thru in some ignition wrenches which I need to have identified, at first I thought it was something homemade with a bicylse link but they are all marked in order A-H and then the feeler gauges. Benjy contacted me first after I made the simple remark of liking a set someone else had posted on this forum and asked me if I wanted a set. Very nice man.
Secondly is the toolkit screwdriver sent from Redvise AKA Brian here in FL, very nice screwdriver, is is by far the nicest one I have been able to find yet. I am looking for a longer version, somewhere between 9 1/2 and maybe 9 3/4 long but since this shorter one is the only one I have yet to find maybe the longer driver isnt any longer at all, maybe the steel shank can somehow pull out of the handle, I dont know how they are put together.
Next is this running board box that cliff sent me, Cliff is truly a person that has a kind heart, I commented on this box and gave some small amount of info about it some time back and he offered it to me. I will restore this box and bolt it proudly onto the runningboard of my car.
I also received these two little numbered wrenches from a tool talk member but I dont know his code name, Larry Senff has helped me enormousely find these little guys and it has always been much appreciated. I dont have any idea what I will ever do with all these wrenches, I have ZERO interest in ever selling tool kits but I cant stop collecting the information and the pieces.
All this along with a couple of mid thirties Plymouth Dodge parts books and I would say it is Christmas in June.
Thank-you to all the tool talk members that are helping me to keep faith.

On a sidenote I said above .......I am looking for a longer version, somewhere between 9 1/2 and maybe 9 3/4 long but since this shorter one is the only one I have yet to find maybe the longer driver isnt any longer at all, maybe the steel shank can somehow pull out of the handle,..........Well I  found that longer version today while looking thru some flea market boxes and I found another little brother so that answers that question.
